Homemade specialties
Well for the first time in a while, we were successfully able to grow our own tomatoes in the backyard garden, which means my father got to make some homemade salsa. 1,000 x better than anything you get from the grocery store (usually unless your store does something better) it's been a few years since there's been any made and I forgot how fucking good it was.
I'll post some pictures of the years first batch, it's really good except that the peppers from the store (Yeah we just grow the tomatoes) weren't very good so it's only kinda mild, very little kick, but still a wonderful taste. Already gone through 2 of the jars (I'd say they're about as much space wise as an average sized salsa jar from the store). Hopefully the next batch I'll go out and grab some good peppers from West Point (I think that is it, it's been a long time since I've gone there) market to make a better salsa.
Anyways I'll put up some pictures later, but what special homemade things do you guys like to make that are of your own or maybe your families?

I bake a lot. Brownies, cookies, recently some devil's food cupcakes, a lot of muffins. It's my stress hobby. I'm making lemon bar next week, mm.
