WOW that looks bad.
Could they have provided screens that are any more blurry? I don't have high hopes for this although odds are it will be better than the Genesis and Playstation games in the series.

2.5D isn't inherently bad, IMO. Bad art direction doesn't care if it's polygons or pixels. This is bad art direction.
Equally bad art direction looks worse in 2.5D. Not to mention 2.5D NEVER plays as well either.
