I don't think he knows if he likes it.

My point is that I was enamored with S&P at a time when I had a tendancy to easily become enamored with things, especially videogames. Revisiting it, the design doesn't blow me away anymore, but it's still surprisingly enjoyable and unique years after its release. The only game I can immediately draw a parallel to is P.N.03.

I can see the S&P is overrated argument, but saying P.N.03 is of comparable quality is just wrong. I understand your change in perspective for each is similar, but you shoudn't have felt that positively about P.N.03 in the first place.

These people that freak out and go way overboard with their enthusiasm when they're younger always feel the need to eventually swing the pendulum all the way back to the other side, becoming overly cynical and snide about everything. Maybe to try to prove their reform, I don't know. It's easily just as irritating though.

Can we calm down with the extremes, and just be reasonable?
