Ninja Gaiden 2

he is to ninja gaiden how some are to marvel vs capcom 2

I've known him for a long time, and he's honestly one of the select few who I'd believe beat the first on master ninja

This is almost the Bioshock "you're playing it wrong" argument all over again, except Bioshock is easy and Ninja Gaiden isn't.

man... I had NO idea that there was a game breaking glitch in Chapter 10. <sigh> I experienced the glitch and now I'm fucked and have to do that all over again unless a patch is released. All that for nothing. I hate this game anyways so I won't bother starting it over.

In Chapter 10 there is a cave after a save statue that is filled with green acid and you fight worms and stuff. If you die there and continue you'll of course restart at the save statue in front of said room but the monsters won't appear...ever. You are screwed and have to start the game over unless you were smart (which I wasn't) and do manual saves on mutiple slots for each save statue. I just did the entire game via autosave.


I suggest you use manuel save and keep a slot for the beginning of a level if you haven't. Nothing I can do I about it except start all over which I have no desire to.

I didn't use auto-save when I played through the game. I did die at the part you're talking about, but the monsters still reappeared when I restarted at the save statue. Does this only happen if auto-save is turned on?

Edit: Can't you still advance without them showing up, though? You can't just run to the next area?

Seems like thats the case. Consider it a warning to anyone here who plans on picking this game up in the future. Use manual save on multiple spots.

So any tips on how to beat the spider mid-boss with the Black Spider ninjas (god-damn incendiary shuriken) in Chapter 2 on Mentor mode? I got lucky beating them at the end of Chapter 1, but Jesus Christ, this new round is super infuriating.
