Weekes? That wasn't Weekes's fault. That was an insane move by crosby, and the only way he could MAYBE have been stopped was if Weekes came out and hit him, but then Crosby would have had the post. Some defenseman should have gotten back in time to stop him getting that far in front of the net, but he was too fast. Weekes played chicken with Crosby, and Crosby won the SECOND Weekes was forced to flinch to cover the center of the net.

Anyway good pressure and retarded Laraque give us a power play that Gionta almost scored on. Maybe I should stop watching/listening and the pucks will go in again. Laraque...completely unnecessary slash, goon style.

edit: Speaking of Avery, the Rangers summed him up at arbitration: "a reasonably effective player as well as a detriment to team" and "Avery is not a mature player. He plays, at times, like an individual rather than a member of a team."

I knew you would come with the poke check, but the poke check would have left the five open anyway. I think Crosby was scoring no matter what there. Anyway....it was a sick toe drag.

Elias looks dazed out there. Devils have had about 5 stellar scoring chances I can count that haven't converted.

It's true but I wasn't being facetious. I think our conversion rate is now the worst in the league.
