And, in case you're interested, the Devils franchise record is really:
994W-1149L-320T
Truly magnificent, if you ask me. If they win 175 in a row, they'll be 20 games over .500. Just like the Rangers.
Good luck with that. Really.

I know :( I did the maths before I posted.
But if you want to ignore "Ancient history" then by all means, go ahead. After those thirteen years we won 3 cups. What have you done?
Oh that's right, you missed the playoffs a whole bunch of years. At least you have 94 to remember.
Well, in any event, you can't argue that it's not good for hockey that the Rangers are competitive. Even the most idiotic NHL fan could agree with that. Know why? Because the Rangers are an IMPORTANT FRANCHISE to the NHL. Please, argue with me that the Rangers suck, that the Devils have fared better over the last 20 years, that Jagr sucks, whatever.
Just don't argue that the Rangers aren't a good franchise.
The Rangers are not a good franchise, but they are important to the NHL.
Toronto is a train wreck, but they are even more important to the NHL.
I like that the Rangers are better now because it's actually become a rivalry again.
Yeah I agree they're good for hockey, all the original six teams are. Frankly any team that gets tv viewership and asses in seats is good for hockey.
The worst thing for hockey is the governing board itself.
Franchises can go up and down. It's not a statement of the entire history.
4 hours to puck drop...I love hockey days.
Expect to not see me here until after the game. PS Why does Boston have the record it has?
Smoke and mirrors.
