Seared ribeye (salt, garlic powder, thyme and worcestershire) / pan sauce deglazed with halved whole tiny tomatoes and their juices. Served with beans and pears. Good stuff.
That sauce sounds really good. I've never thought of using tomatoes to deglaze the fond like that.
The picture looked fine by me.
Animegirl, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Eating is one of the few experiences where judgement is based upon all of the senses. To be reduced to only sight means that the composition, lighting, etc., must not only reflect the food accurately, but they must also imply how the other senses react to it.
If it makes you feel better animegirl, none of the pictures in my textbooks ever made hyperplasia look so delishy!

Tonight I made some grilled pork chops for some friends. I had them cut extra thick, about 1 1/2", and marinated them in mojo for a few hours. They were tasty.
