Not necessarily. It has more to do with domination than nativity. Take Texas for example. It was a land of sparse populations of nomadic tribes and a few settlers, the Waco for example. The Spanish came in and settled it with more people and several missions. The land was grouped as a whole and named Tejas, a native word for friendship. But the majority population spoke Spanish, so the laws were written in Spanish. But the land was still vastly empty. And a revolution took place. Now the Spanish speaking natives had their own country, Mexico. To fill in the land, the Mexicans invited the catholic Germans, they spoke German in their towns. Then, an Anglo Southern American man name Austin said, “Hey these scat lovin’ Germans are having a heyday and making mad money in Tejas. But the constitutions were written in both Spanish and English – the national one, the first state one, the Confederate one, and the final state constitution written in 1876. But I imagine if it were re-written today it would be solely written in English.

So Texas went from small native cultures, to Catholic Spanish, Catholic Spanish-German, Catholic-Protestant, Spanish-German-English, to a majority protestant English society.

My last thoughts on this ... Why do black people preach to America about being one nation, but insist on separatist thoughts.

Example: We are Americans, mostly. Yet they are separating via using the term African American. Naming their children after African tribal names and such. Europeans are not known as Italian Europeans or German Europeans. I never heard of a African Brit or African Frenchie. Nope I hear ... "Hi I'm a Brit" and he's black.


Until that mentality is wiped away we as a nation will never move forward and grow culturally. The mentality of separating cultures. I am an asian and I do not shout that I am an Korean American. Nope I say I'm an American.

If you put a prefix before American, you should just replace it "I'm a fucking poseur."
