I hate the name Chad too.
Chad was the name of our "Area Coach" at the Pizza Hut I worked at while I was going to college. To make a long story short, Chad was an asshole.
I don't see what is wrong with the current statistical average American identity. I mean, I don't care if a person has an identity that was passed down, or get ideas about style and culture and want to try their own thing, but I seem to be seeing a lot of emoish attention whoring from young minorities these days. You know, a lot of being different for the sake of being different. Trying too hard. Being a cultural poser. Seems kind of gay to me.
and lol, before someone post omg racist, what I'm talking about is when I meet a sweet married black couple that is about 30 or 40 and then meet their son or daughter who INSTEAD of acting like their parents, have adopted an artificial "black" behavior popularized by TV or popular music. That shit is just as gay as white kids that say desu in real life. If your family loves you at all, be true to them.
Its like the attitude has really changed from the original civil rights movement. back then the problem was like:
White guy: I'm having a party
black guy: can I go?
White guy: no
black guy: :(
white guy: lol
black guy: I really wish someone would make things fair so I can go to any party I want
to now
White guy: I'm having a party
black guy: can I go?
White guy: sure
black guy: cool
White guy: can I come over friday?
black guy: no
White guy: :(
black guy: lol
I hated my first name growing up, it sounded faggy, now, it still sounds faggy. Super-Duper.
Google it bitch.
It doesn't mean what you've been taught and made to believe it means.
The fact remains that if a Thai father's surname is Kok and he names his son Long Phat, if you can't move past the unintended english innuendo and feel the need to ridicule then you are an idiot and a child. Any child I sire will be raised to know this and will roll their eyes at you like the fool you are.
Spare your sympathies for the devil and his lot. They need it more than I.
Common according to whose culture and whose thinking?Quote:
I don't care what culture or book you get a name from, at some point common sense takes over.
"America, FUCK YEAH!" is a shitty way to look at the world.
I'm pretty sure it has more to do with it being illegal to deliberately give children names that are intentionally inflammatory or designed to cause embarrassment for anyone who says it.Quote:
Adolf and Hitler were pretty common names in Germany back in the day, and now nary a Hitler or Adolf exists. Why? Because a lot of fucking Germans had the good sense to change their names knowing full well what they'd have to face with a name like Hitler, and traditions be damned.
Yes you are an idiot because you obviously have no idea what the concepts of reinforcing positive self-esteem and teaching a child to think for themselves are. You can't do anything about the retardation of other people, but you can teach your child how to develop personal fortitude and how to regard people who behave in such a manner.Quote:
OOOOOOOOOOOOH, you really showed me, a small grammatical error versus fucking my kids up for the rest of their lives, yeah, I'm an idiot.
People will mock others for any reason. Names be damned. It all boils down to "Who is this asshole mocking me? Do I care what he thinks? Does his opinion matter?" If the answer is "no" to the latter questions then move the fuck on.
Relying on the perceptions of others to define yourself makes a person weak.
In addition, I'm sure Moon Unit and Dweezil Zappa caught their fair share of shit as they grew up. I don't see them rushing to change their names.
I know you tool, but it still has that negative meaning also, and that's the one most people know, so yeah, your kids are gonna have problems. I can walk around with the goddamn Manji tattooed on my forehead, I can educate people about it's historical meaning, and cultural significance, but in the end, it'd still be a swastika.:lol::lol:Quote:
Long Phat Kok
Now you get it.What i mean is that adolf lost favor as a popular name right after WWII and that all the Hitlers changed their names, not because of the law, but because they knew that the name had been tainted.Quote:
I'm pretty sure it has more to do with it being illegal to deliberately give children names that are intentionally inflammatory or designed to cause embarrassment for anyone who says it.
God, grow up you hippy, wait til you have a couple, then you can preach.Quote:
bah blah blah...reinforcing positive self-esteem... retardation of other people... develop personal fortitude
Then don't make it so easy for them. Make them work for it.Quote:
People will mock others for any reason.
My brother's a Chad.
He's not an asshole, just a dumbass.
