Actually I thought about that at first too, only because it's inline with what Biff posted when he got banned about black people.

But Shine Aqua has also been irrelevant since some shit that happened a long time ago and I doubt he has any warnings since then whereas other posters have at least had warnings.

Ok, then, we can rip on all of the stupid redneck names too. This isn't a racist argument DR, it's a "how much can I cripple my child because of my trailor/ghetto tendencies" argument. Pardon me for saying that black-folk are a hell of a lot more creative at making stupid names than white-folk. Trailer-trash usually only manages to string 2 names together, like Billybob, Jimbob, BobbyJim, Steven-Bobby even...it's just as stupid.

This is TNL, stop getting offended. The day that we can't joke about the differences that our racial cultures have is the day that we stop trying to understand each other and live with who we are, culturally and individually.

I'm going to name my kids after TNL screen names. I'll just randomly click on a thread and whoever is the 4th poster is my kids name. If it happens to fall on Josh or Doc Holliday. Then I will pick the one who quotes them.

So if its Nocturne I will ask my wife to abort the spawn.

Thats all dandy until someone crosses the line. I've watched people joke around here, get into arguments, and get banned for stupid stuff, yet something like this is left untouched?

As far as the names, you can look at any culture and find stupid or names that sound funny to you, but to them its nothing. Many asian names sound very stupid to many Americans, and vice versa.

With "Simeon" sounding like "simian," I think it's just common courtesy not to give your child a name that so blatantly invites teasing. Whether people know how the name is spelled or not is irrelevant; it just invites teasing and can drive the owner of the name half crazy, whether it's Simeon Jones or Harry Cox.

For the record, Simeon is a good name, it just is a poor choice as a first name in an English-speaking country if you don't want your kid to deal with incessant teasing on top of everything else he has to deal with.

Leave the "fuck" out of the title, change "crackers" to people," and make a defensible (whether it is totally inaccurate or not) culture-based argument, and I will probably not have a problem with it.
