I would have had a much higher score if I did'nt die in level three. You will see an improvement soon.
Kaneda, I'm assumeing you died in level 2, the ice part? Yes thats where you rack up the points, theres 8 or so hostages there. Heres a tip, ya got to advance very slowly and do'nt be afaid to use some of your 40 bombs you should have stockpiled.
Yeah, that ice part is a toughie, but I'm determined to get through it. If I can also make it to the drill slug section of level 4, I'll have a score to be proud of.
I'll have a score in a few weeks- my AES isn't with me at the moment. No arcade with it around here either as far as I know.
That drill part is actually very easy- just get in the drill slug and raise it up. Up there you're basically invincible, you just need to get in front of those giant beetle things and they'll explode. Every once in a while when the one that fires on you comes you have to do some up and down action but that's about it. Piece of cake. My last one credit accomplishment was the 1-4 boss- I've yet to beat him without fucking it up. It can be done, but you need to save your shotgun ammo and unload on him.
You can get a shotgun in level 4? Oh yea, the part with the mummies. Damn you must knife every mummy to kill them then, plus your bombs. You cant use your bombs on the boss...so.Quote:

The only sequence that the level 4 boss gets me, is the damn yellow lazers he shoots at me. Just too many to dodge. I usually die once from that bastard cuase of the lazers.
I've noticed the sequences are random, so you can fight him without him doing the yellow lazer sequence. It happend to me once, thats when I beat him without dieing, too bad I died in the level.
I got to the fifth level on a credit, but I was so excited over beating the 4th boss, I blew it soon after.
What's the best route for level 3? I take the pipe going down, but I don't seem to get many points.
The pipe going downs gotta be the easyest. I think the pipe going up with the osterige slug, is the hardest but gets you the most points.Quote:

You get the "HI!" man in suit with the two bodygards there. That gets you lots of points.
Would you take scores from an arcade? (set to 4 diff)
If so i'll be getting my ass to the arcade to try my luck...
Hayato- I'm playing the AES and I have it set on the arcade difficulty (MVS), so sure, you can play it in the arcade.

In a word, dissapointing.
Thats what I would call my score now, cause it could have been in the 4,000,000's! No lies.
I died in the space, galaga, part. I dont know why, I usually never do, but I did. Probably cockiness rearing its ugly head.
But if i didnt my score would have been doubled. After I finished the space part and got into the side scrolling alien ship, i was in the 4,000,000's. I really could have got there on one credit.
