The Official 2007 MLB Playoffs Thread

Wang already gives up a homer. All his pitches thus far were high in the zone which is bad news.

wow.. Wang only records 3 outs. In comes Mussina with the bases juicy.

The Yanks have no one to blame but themselves, it was the dumbest decision of the postseason by a mile.

Its raining fairly heavily in my area of the bronx (north central area). Not sure if the storm will head south to the stadium.

Wang sucked in game 1 because he had 8 days rest and was too strong; sinkerballers need to be a little tired to get the sinker working. There was no reason to think the sinker wouldn't be back on 3 days rest after Wang only pitched into the 4th last thursday. Wang is too streaky. He gets in a groove and rolls out 5 great starts in a row, but then he has a couple clunkers. I never want to see him before game 4 in another playoff series.

People get excited about a player when that player helps you win a spot in the postseason. As a Giants fan you wouldn't know about that.

Yes, unfortunately I don't get to experience the joy of the Giant's faux ace getting lit up to the tune of a 19 ERA in two playoff starts.

I'm sure Zito would be happy to accommodate if by some miracle the Giants made the playoffs, though.
