Holy crap I just cannot believe that. No way does he win that without the Gasol "trade".
The MVP has to be CP or Garnett...right?
That said, I hope Atlanta beats the pants off Boston tomorrow. The last thing I want to see is a Celtics-Lakers final.

Just remember that it's based on the media vote. Argh.
2008 NBA MVP = Lifetime Achievement Award, apparently.
P.S. FUCK KOBE
That makes it all the worse. Media pays attention to all this stuff, so they should know who the MVPs really are. It sure wasn't Beanbag in 2008.
Take CP3 off the Hornets and they are lucky to be a .500 team.
Take Kobe off the Lakers and they could still contend for a playoff spot with all the talent they've assembled around him.
If that's not the definition of MVP, I don't know what it.
By the time Mike was getting to the finals and had a chance he had Grant, Pippen, Oakley, Hodges popping 3's and Cartwright. Don't front anymore, you're giving me heartburn :)
Let's see
Grant-F- Old Ben Wallace
Pippen-G- Gibson LOL
Oakley-Enforcer-Nobody
Hodges-Gibson Push
I'd take the old bulls over what we have any day of the week.
Uh yeah, Take Lebron off the Cavs and they win 15 games. Go back to APF :td:
To Clarify, I don't mind Kobe getting the MVP at all, he had it coming. Lebron will retire with about 5.
Lebron is a tough kid, he makes passes that only Maravich and Bird in his prime could pull off, and he rebounds like LB. The only thing he's missing is the killer edge with less than 2 minutes in the game, and that is still up for debate as he seems to kill teams in the 3rd and 4th. The scary thing to me is that he apparently has no ceiling.
I didn't change my MVP pick. Kobe's growing on me as he changes his style, Paul had a great year and Garnett has been big, but come on. 30, 8, 7 and a lot of steals and blocks? The highest 4th quarter scoring in the league on a team that doesn't average Suns-type numbers? You've got to be kidding me.
I'm not going to say he was robbed, but please. Kobe would have quit on that kind of team Lebron's on, at least a year ago.
BTW, I have never understood the criticism of his inability to make shots at the end of games. Here was a stat from last year:
on the season, made 19 of 29 field-goal attempts in the last two minutes of a one-possession game (66 percent) which led all players in that statistic…
Usually when a game gets close I see Kobe jacking up something he doesn't need to and it doesn't go in 66 percent of the time.
