I'll argue that the Hornets needed a scorer and Pargo was that guy. I think Byron saw that Paul, West, didn't have that confidence and wouldn't be aggressive so he put in the automatic weapon. The Hornets were trailing and needed points fast. When you pass Pargo the ball, you realize you're probably not going to see it again. Paul and company were all too accomodating when it came to either getting Pargo the ball, or letting him run with it.

While Pargo did make the game closer, he hogged the ball a lot more than the possessions he scored on. It was weird. Shouldn't West and Paul have more of a killer instinct than that? I mean, it was weird. And Tim Duncan getting the pass down low and holding the ball for 8 seconds and dribbling six times without a double team ever coming... Not that it ever worked out with a conversion, but jeez. SA got lucky NO couldn't hit a shot in the 3rd. I'm going to pass the rest off as inexperience.

This is exactly what I'm trying to say. The guy was missing alot more than he was making. At that point I would've come up with another strategy.

Pargo was the only one making shots. It's called going with the hot hand.

Paul, West, and Stojakabitch all were throwing up bricks in the second half.

I don't understand why they started fouling down 5 with about 45 seconds left when they could played out one more possession and then started fouling.

Whatever, you get killed on the boards like the Hornets did, and you're going to get killed if you're not shooting lights out (which they weren't).

Hahahah, I smell Spurs v. Pistons rematch!! I bet Stern would just burn down The Palace and the San Antonio Dump just to try and force some sort of ratings boost. Maybe hit David Robinson with a car to boost sentimental interest in the Spurs.
