Rose is ranked higher as a prospect than both Paul and D Will were. Rose also took his team as far as D Will did and farther than Paul did in college. Rose is bigger than both and more athletic than both, and Rose is coming out of college younger than both Paul and D Will did.

Beasley still has character concerns, and as good as he was did he really make his teammates better? If he does turn out to be a legit 6' 10" you certainly do your due diligence, but his history, his game, both have questions that must answered. I don't know if you have to ask any questions about Rose.

Either way, the Bulls now have a ton of tradable assets, the position depending on who they pick.

Adding Davis and Beasley transform Chicago into a West Coast style team. They keep Gordon for coming of the bench to score, and trade hinrich and hughes for a solid rebounding a defensive PF that doesn't need to score a ton and can create his own shot (hello sign and trade shawn marion) because hughes' expiring contract in 2010 will mean the Heat can go get bosh, and they win 45-50 games easy.

So you suggest the Bulls either have no SF after they deal Deng, or start Noce at the 3? And you advocate trading a 23 year old Deng for Baron Davis? You must be a Danny Ferry fan.

No, Beasley can play SF dude, did you actually WATCH him in college? Think Lamar Odom with better slashing ability.

Hell no @ trading Deng imo. He's the best player by a mile.

So instead of drafting Beasley to be your source of post offense at the 4, you're saying draft him out of position to play the 3, at the expense of taking Rose. You are a Danny Ferry fan.

I did watch K State and Bill Walker is much better playing the 3 than Beasley is.

See, we can agree to disagree here. Putting Beasley at the 3 forces the Lebrons and Paul Pierces of the East to defend him. Outside of game 7 look what that did to Lebron and Pierce..It wore them out. Creating mismatches is the key to the lock for getting out of the east. You get Rose and you get another 2-3 years of 1st round exits. Again you have NOBODY who can carry your team, and don't give me Deng, kid disappears quicker than the last natty light at a college party. His soft game does not play well in that conference. Shit Rasheed Wallace about made him cry this year.

Probably pretty fucking good. They take a single-year break from the playoffs and come away with one of the top two prospects and Shawn Marion to pair with Dwyane Wade. It reminds me of when the Spurs sucked for a single year when David Robinson was hurt & got Duncan.

Fixed.

No doubt Deng is as soft as drug store cotton, but you give him wide open looks like he had in that Miami series, and he will burn your ass. A stud PG gets him those looks. Just don't make Deng the primary guy and he can be very productive for you. Paxson definitely overvalued him if he did indeed label Deng an "untouchable".

Did New Orleans have anyone who could carry that team aside from Paul? David West didn't blow up until post-Paul, Tyson had his career saved from bustdom by Paul, and Peja was able to stay in the league because of Paul. Let's say the Bulls are the poor man's Hornets, which is fine in the East, because it's a poor man's conference. Noah is Tyson, Gooden is West, Tyrus hopefully gets more burn at the 4 and he'll challenge Tyson for the league lead in alley oop dunks, Deng will be the 15-18 foot guy with some slashing ability, and Thabo will the 2 with BG either dealt of coming off the bench. Hopefully this means Hinrich and Noce are dealt, or even Gooden's expiring contract if it gets a 2 guard who can open up the perimeter, or if it allows the Bulls to get rid of Larry Hughes contract. Hughes is almost as bad as Ben Wallace's contract, and the only thing that saves Hughes is that he's far younger and may be able to sucker some team into taking on his contract.
