I use glue stick only, and heavy-grade construction paper or lightweight cardstock. You get absolutely no glue marks that way, and it adds a mild 3d effect of the layered paper casting slight shadows if you go heavy on the gluestick. I like to do that for accessory pieces sometimes on my larger pieces.
Also, are you drawing your pieces out? It looks like there are pencil lines. When I need an outline, I take a mechanical pencil with no lead, blunt the tip down, and then press that against the paper. It leaves a VERY hard to see indentation that I can use as a cutting guideline.
I don't make anything original.... I did cut up a bunch of comics and made collages out of them and sold a bunch at a craft show. LOL easy money.
wait, are you talking about those comics?
Yup, u think I read that trash? ;)
eh, I got money out of it, so I guess it is ok.
I kid I kid. I used to love comics, just don't have time now.
Made a quick paper moogle. I really need to get fleshy/natural tones that aren't so transparent. It's really difficult to find lightweight cardstock in those colors! Some of the backing pieces show through the body parts, even though I tried to layer extra scraps behind it. :-/
That looks cute, you should send one to the Moogle brothers.
PS a Vivi too.
