Nomi and I go up level for level but she was 10 higher than me when we started. Shouldn't I be getting more experience and catching up?

I wish Bungie's site would update the stats. I pulled MVP, I would say, 4 or 5 times on ranked last night without getting the achievement. I'm starting to think it's a "feature".
I'm going to try to get on in a little bit, but I won't be up until 6am again. I have class shit to show up for tomorrow early and an exam to study before monday.
I just played the worst big team battle match ever. My team sucked BALLZ playing territories on Valhalla. It was disgusting.

There's people out there with 50 games and a level 40. Shit, I've won like 5 or 6 games of Double Team against people my level and I'm only one level bellow Slayer where I've won over 30? Something is wrong it shouldn't take 5 games to go up levels.

Probably because you only seem to play social games. I'm not sure, but I imagine you gain less EXP/levels in social versus ranked.
Also, I don't know what you guys were talking about last night with changing my language to Portugese. It sounded like you were just achievement whoring anyway. Weak, imo.
None of the achievements are crazy hard to get anyways. Maybe 2.
People only achievement whore because it's great to have them all as soon as possible but honestly if you just played normally, you'd get 'em all.
I was so close to ending a game at the top of the server today. I usually stick to Team Slayer and I've gotten crazy better in the past couple days.
I stuck a plasma to a guy on a mongoose and he didn't even realize, then bloom, got myself a new ride.
I got to level 36 on Lone Wolves, today.
I also unlocked every achievement. Which, in turn, unlocked the Marathon helmet permutation. It rocks.
Now, how about that EOB helmet. :(

You don't gain experience towards your skill level for playing social games. You only gain experience towards that specific playlist if you are playing ranked. And yes, Opaque is right, it is kind of bullshit. We won 40+ games of Slayer tonight, and he only went up like 15 levels. So, possible noob question here, but I've noticed when matchmaking that some people have a little cog thing next to their ranking for that mode. What does that signify? I think it used to mean that you had your account connected to Bungie's website, but my usual gang and I have all done that, and none of us have it.
Go into your profile options on Bungie.net and there's an option to turn it on.
I don't give two shits about system link. Only reason I play Halo is to play with my friends over Live. When I can't play with them, I simply don't play Halo.Quote:

It took over 10 games to go from a 20 to a 21, for Manner it took those same ten to go from a 26 to a 27.
Then we lost one game I dropped back to a 20 and he lost 2 levels. WTF? How does even one part of that make sense?
I meant playing with the same guys in your party over many games. I've been playing solo and ranking up every 2 wins or so. Couldn't hurt to give it a try and see.

Does anyone still have the Sandtrap game from the other day with two from one team in the passenger and turrent of the warthog while the other team drove us around?
Slot 5 now has an awesome quick snipe on a guy going over man cannon on Narrows and my 6 has a head shot in the first few seconds of a sniper game on Last Resort. I shoot the guys head, which is barely showing over the wall, while the game type box is still on the screen. It's not too shabby, you should all watch it.
