I agree, the industry is too greedy with the DLC prices. I can only vote with my wallet, I am not buying them. Instead, I turn around and sell these games and buy new ones (instead of having the game and NOT being able to play with TNLers). There is always something new to buy/play, I might as well save the money to go toward those.Quote:

Lockout will be a nice revival since some of my 'fuck Halo 3' friends will undoubtedly come back for it. I'm required to get the map pack in one way or another by May, since I've got a LAN down in Alabama with my close group and there will be blood if I ruin matchmaking for them.
I don't like the design of the Lockout remake at all. It looks like a turd. But layout wise it looks EXACTLY like Lockout, and that's all that matters.

Shit, I just want my brig. My highest is in Lone Wolves, which is not fun at all, but I can't ever get a team together to play ranked in anything of that variety.
Us three could very easily get into the upper 40's. Unless of course we run into the "win 70 games in a row and only go up 8 levels" issue that we had when the game first dropped.

Okay, if Circuit City offered you a code to download the Legendary maps for free if you preorder Ninja Gaiden 2, would you do it? You'd have to wait a week to get your code.

The new maps are all very good. A lot better than the last map pack. Some impressions:
-Avalanche feels totally Halo 1, and I love it because of that. Its got that Halo1 CTF feel - something i think has been missing from Halo2 and 3. The base designs are very nice and give alot of offensive freedom with multiple ways into the top and bottom of the base. Instant classic.
-Ghost Town plays very differently from any Halo map ive played. Its almost COD-ish. A very chaotic design with tons of nooks and crannies, and alot of stuff lying around. Youll find yourself getting stuck on things from time to time. Its not as clean cut and open as most Halo maps. Its a very nice change of pace because of that.
-Blackout. Theres some neat little changes here and there that i wasnt expecting. Stuff like the shotgun hallway being a bit different. I guess alot of hardcore halo geeks really hate the changes. I dont mind them. Its still a fun map even if it never was one of my personal favs. The reskin looks godawful though. Blackout also seemed a bit framey to me. Not as smooth as it should be. hmmmm....
I hope they bring back Battle Creek.
God if only they had remade sidewinder before I stopped caring about this game.
I hope the pack adds some much needed balance for those who still tolerate the game though.
Avalanche is nice, since I mostly play Big Team since my group of friends is rather large and we all whine about getting split, but I still want Coagulation back. When the fuck are we going to get a nice, long map with epic Gauss Hog battles going on? And the tanks are bullshit on Avalanche. Jesus christ the Scorpion is too fast now. It doesn't make physical sense for a tank to move like that.
