Okay, I'm making some delicious curry and jasmine rice for dinner tonight and I thought to myself,"Maybe I'll crack open my bottle of Riesling. Just to have something to accompany the meal." Thought the better of it because curry and Riesling would be a weird taste, but if I wanted to drink it I could.
Then, I wondered about the mentality of people who go to Chinese, Indian and Thai restaurants (there are other restaurants in which this situation occurs, but the ones listed are in my own personal experience), why they order wine?
Has anyone done this, and how does the wine chosen go with such exotic foods?
