Dumber maybe, but the fact of the matter is that the information is readily available and any person can educate themselves on any candidate. There's no need for an electoral college and it makes your vote worthless outside of the same 5 or 6 states.

Oh come on we've been down this. With the exceptions of pathetically bad candidates like good old G.W. the reason voting is pointless (though I still, silly me, do it every time I have too) is that every fucking candidate is just talking piece for their party.

The reason anyone like Colbert running would be awesome is simply because at least its something different to fucking vote for.

We elected a clown the last two times out, so this Colbert candidacy is not surprising. Except he's a clown on purpose and it's welcome.

Bullshit. That hour block has surely helped the ratings of both shows. They've been searching for a show to follow Daily Show for a long time, and now that they found one, they both feed each other's ratings.

I think they're both hilarious. Daily Show lost their main writer last year and that hurt them a bit, but both shows are really good.

Wrong. We did not elect Bush in 2000. The electoral college fucked up America's decision.
