Yup, i own this model and a 60gb. It is quieter, it still works exactly the same sans the card reader and the ps2 compadibility. Works great. Target has the system with a $40 gift card and $10 gift cards on certain ps3 games. It ends today i believe.
for HDMI and optical cables, ect, get them off monoprice.com
Japanvideogames.com has dualshock 3s for not too bad of a price last i visited their site.
