I'm so glad I didn't buy this game on ps2 for $50. This version is sweeeet. I think this version is easier because you can see the projectiles coming at you easier. Needs more trance sex toy accesories.
Hey guys, the streak of awesome XBLA titles continues with Tetris Attack/Poker Smash this week. I wonder if it's a straight-up port with a poker skin, or if there are additional rules to the game.
I bet you have to ::gasp:: MAKE POKER HANDS! :tu:
Anyone with good Hexic scores add me to your friends list pls. I know no one probably plays it anymore, but I beat everyone's score on my current list (it looks like only a couple people even played it more than 2 times).
Just sent you a request stormy.
Who has scores on Rez whom I haven't added? I just surpassed epmode's score for area 4 and am trying to get as many people as I can so I can see where I am.
I had the chance to try the Poker Smash demo before coming to work. Don't expect a straight Tetris Attack port.
The game controls with the dual sticks--left stick moves the 1-block cursor, right stick moves highlighted piece left or right. It's odd, but it works great, almost like the stylus controls from Planet Puzzle League. You also have bombs that destroys one block, giving you more options to set-up combos and chains. You have up to five, and you gain more bombs by clearing blocks. You can also trigger a slow-mo mode which slows the game down and helps you set up combos and chains. The slow-mo meter replenishes after some time.
As for clearing pieces, besides the typical match-three, -four, -five of Tetris Attack, you can also clear blocks with poker hands (just like B-M-B-R-A-N-D-X predicted): flush, straight, and full house combinations will also clear blocks.
It seems like a solid $10 buy, but I going to try the demo a little more after I get home before I ultimately decide.
