Repeating what I said earlier: If Andrew hits 50 home runs again, then the Dodgers got a steal of a deal. If he only hits 20 home runs again then thats still more Home Runs than anybody else in the Dodger's lineup last year. If Jones ends up being a disaster of Delino DeShields proportions, then thats no big deal too because they still have four other outfielders (Pierre, Kemp, Ethier, AND Repko). The best part of the deal is that he is only signed for two years as well, so the Dodgers aren't stuck with him if he is a total disaster. Its a WIN WIN situation.

Now...the Rowand signing...now THAT was a stupid move. The Giants have the worst lineup in the NL West, and adding a second Randy Winn caliber player isn't going to help them any.

I agree, good signing, but he's not hitting 50 in that stadium. Be happy with a .260 30 100 season and the best center fielder you've has in a while.

The problem with Rowand, and why Kenny Williams didn't want to give him that 5th year even though the White Sox organization has a hard on for him, is because Rowand will not be able to hold down CF for too much longer. Move him to RF, look at his numbers, and suddenly he looks very much overpaid.

Wilpon is smart with his money. He knows he needs to spend enough to field a contender, but spending the extra to field a champion just doesn't reflect in the bottom line.

If Omar can't field a champion with the bank roll Wilpon allocated last year, he should be fired.

So there are rumors that Tejada is on the Mitchell report as well, it will be interesting to see how that pans out for the 'stros.
