I just find it fascinating that cancerous cells are living on immortally 60 years after the woman's death. Her cells are used often in cancer research and lead to the development of the Polio vaccine.

Scientists have been pondering the ability of cancerous cells to reproduce without the RNA breakdown present with normal cell reproduction, which is responsible for the effects of aging. It's possible that cancer is in fact part of the secret of immortality--if such a thing is possible.

So cancer is just evolution? That we are evolving and our out of date bodies are fighting against the inevitable. In time, a human will be born who grows but does not age because they are 100% 'cancer' cells?

I always thought that cancer was an, if not the agent of genetic mutation inherrant in evolution.

Agreed, Immortality is the most fascinating thing in the world to me. The warping of the mind, the fact that over time you'd be able to conceive the motives of everyone around you, if you were an observer.

I'd love the be immortal, I'd spend my eternity traveling the world, expanding my knowledge beyond measurable belief, and one day take hold of the world and using my knowledge lead it in a new direction.

Immortality will make you jaded about life.
