New work!

This is the third painting I've done since my show. I'm giving it a bit of public exposure here instead of my Myspace or more local forums, so it will be fresh when I show it later next year. Hope you guys like it. (Oil, pencil & conte crayon on canvas)

i like it. the subdued colors are beautiful, as are the lines.

No, it is a girl that I work with that I got to pose for me. Oddly enough, she is a natural redhead too.

it's love! i love the leaving of the frame.

These are awesome. The second one is a bit too "centered" for my tastes, but still wondrous.

Great stuff!

The colors seem really subdued, is that intentional? (er, in the paintings. not the scratchboard.)

I love the scratchboard piece, but there's some issues in her shoulder/clavicle anatomy. It just really sticks out since you pay so much attention to the nuances of the facial structure.

The wrinkling on the 3rd girl's shirt is handled wonderfully, btw. Have ever done a piece where you did you background elements in the same style as the figures?

I usuallly think mixed media is silly, but I can't even tell where you've used it on these, at least from the pictures. Really nice work.

Nice work, i'm a bit of an artistic person myself. Do do mostly gore.

I still feel weird about hanging a portrait in here, but it's too awesome to not show.

That portrait is really good; the tips of the beard are a bit weird though.

It's even more awesome when compared with the original photo. I've always been envious of people that draw and paint so well.

Yeah, it was a quickie portrait. I did it in an hour or so. I just liked the photo he sent me & busted it out. =)
