that's part of the problem. the main problem is that you'll more than likely get sued if you tell somebody to fuck off, or get terminated from your job.

i always loved enforcing the age requirement when i worked at Babbages. with our original manager it was no problem. he always went to bat for us. the moment they fired him and brought in the replacement asshat (that ended up stealing from the company left and right) it was a different story. you'd tell kids to settle down, or that they werent old enough to buy an M rated game LIKE YOURE SUPPOSED TO and the parents would come back and bitch. at this point our old manager would go to bat for us and even tell the DM to fuck off since we're following the rules. as soon as the new guy came in, him and the DM would tuck tales and make people happy, making us look like assholes.

i do remember spending all day at the mall as a youngster with a $10 and somehow had a good time of it. im sure the two arcades helped and the $.50 slices of pizza. now both the pizza place and the arcades are gone. there really is NO reason for teenages to be at our mall "hanging out", since it's all clothing stores pretty much anyway yet they still do.

Exactly. It's so popular to hate on them, but they're fun and convenient. Lots of different stores, people (read: teenage girls) to look at, and places to eat, especially if it's a big, nice mall, like Palasades Center in Westchester, NY- the fucking place has 4 floors and the top one is almost all resturants, in addition to both regular and Imax movie theaters.

Fuck clothes shopping on the internet- sizes vary so wildly from store to store. I especially have to try on pants before I buy- I run into situations where the waist will fit fine, but the thighs will be skin-tight.

I don't hate malls in general, I really just hate *my* mall. It's filled with strange looking teenagers and rednecks, has fuckall horrible stores, and is desperately stuck in an early 90s color scheme. It literally hurts my soul to go there, and I only went there for the Mongolian Barbeque. But now that that's gone the place could burn to the goddamn ground for all I care.

But shit, if it's a pretty choice mall with stores where I would actually buy things then bring it on. I don't feel like driving around trying to find exactly what I want, all together is all the better. I'm a sucker for convenience, what can I say?

Places like Kohls are cheaper, more convenient, and less full of assholes. Don't know if they carry your rockstar styles, though.

Unless I'm buying some expensive clothing, it really doesn't take me long to buy clothes. 36x30 jeans, large/medium rock t-shirt, and size 10 Converses.

I've only had one pair of jeans fit me bigger than I normally like at that size. (I normally like my jeans to fit big in the waist because even at 36 they hold my junk very tight. So 34 is a no-go if I ever want children.)
