Older Xbox(backwards compat) Online Thread

Since regular Xbox titles are now budget priced(or even better, used), I've been picking up a good chunk of backwards compatible titles to play. Much to my surprise, a good amount of these titles still have players playing online as well. So, if anyone out there has some older games that they want to play with other members of the board, I guess this would be as good a place as any to set it up.

kuro/kuroXkuro: Doom 3, Phantom Dust... once I fix up my arsenal a bit that is.

Counterstrike and Doom3 has a few online players, that just wont leave.

I'd really like to get back into Phantom Dust if there's enough interest.

I still need to go and finish up Scenario mode in Phantom Dust. I wouldn't mind trying out some multiplayer games for that either.

I'd say keep counting for a long time , but Microsoft supised the shit out of me with their last BC list so who knows. If theyre still working on it,, they are running a little bit late though. I want CvsS too. That and Samurai Shodown 5. even though its an unbalanced piece of shit. Having Samurai Shodown 2 on Live Arcade could ease the pain tremendously, though. :)

I still have CC and a Live account for the old Xbox. Just name a time and date, and I'll be more than happy to play.

I occasionally play Call of Duty 3 and Battlefield 2 as well.

Man, I'd kill for a list of games that are back compat that are also co-op(besides Tenchu and DOOM3). Anyone have that info offhand?

I'd love to play some OutRun 2 online, but I only have the original version. I haven't even seen a copy of C2C for the Xbox around here.

I have Outrun 2 as well. If Giga Power has that one, maybe we can all get together for a session or 2.

I'd never played Coast to Coast online, because there was never anybody to play against.

I have both O2 and C2C, I have never played online but I would love to. Just let me know.

This site has a list of co-op Xbox/PS2/GCN/PC games. But it hasn't been updated since late 2004/early 2005 from the looks of it so I'm sure there's other games: http://shadowpanther.net/co-op.htm

I guess you guys didn't want to play Outrun 2?

I do, but I won't be able to until Friday. I work late the next couple of days and I'm sure that means I'd be missing out of whatever time everyone agrees on. And I have both versions of Outrun 2...so whatever you guys want to play is cool.

So how about sometime friday?

Since Melf only has Outrun 2, maybe we can play that one @9 p.m CST, on Friday?

I also have SW: Battlefront 2, but I haven't downloaded the latest maps.

So far I've only gotten one buddy(not affiliated with these forums) to hook up with doom3 and it's a freakin' blast. You douchey mcdouchertons should give that shit a shot(and yes, I'm still looking for Phantom Dust and the SF Collection)

I have Doom 3 on the old Xbox, but I've hardly played past the first couple of levels. Co-op Doom3 does sound pretty cool though.

I played Doom 3 when it came out with Brand.

It was fun, but I don't care to go back and revisit it.

I'd love to play Doom 3 co-op with someone one of these days.

I'll be down on Friday if anyone wants to serve Hell up a good 'ol fashioned asswhoopin. It's always neat to come up with new co-op strats other than "run into room with shotgun". Bait and switch, setting up crossfire points, etc is hella fun(just wish they had an option like LMS for the pc DOOM3, wherein you can make it harder, add more monsters to spawn, etc)

I would, but I gave my PC to my old roommate when I moved out. Now all I have is my intensively-monitored-for-unapproved-software work laptop, a copy of Neowave for XBOX, and a lonely dream :(.
