xbmc problem.

So today I tried to lead a different skin onto the ol' xbmc and it took a shit. omg fatal error and such.

I figure since I haven't updated xbmc since I lived in Texas its probably about time anyway. Its been fucking forever since I messed with this. How can I install this joint on an xbox that won't load up past the "fuck you" error screen. Bootable disc... if so how do I do this? Network install is not an option unfortunately, and I need to get this going by tomorrow so I can play Pump it Up or I'll be a lazy bitch and that won't fly.

But I want to boot up into xbmc auto. Don't I have to write some shit to make that happen? Doesn't this mean no auto-installer for me?

I'm slowly remembering things, and how much I didn't like using evoX.

I want to delete my MS soundtracks to free up HD space, but I can't find any options to do so in MC. How would I do this?

What you mean? From retail games on the HD?

The ones I ripped from my CDs for custom soundtracks.

I forget what folder they're in. You can use the xbmc file browser to delete them if you find them.

If I use the auto installer is it going to reformat my shit? I don't remember anything about this anymore.

if you tell it to yes. you can just reinstall evox, format, partition.....whatever. the main reason you want one is so you can just boot the system and network to it. chances are you tried putting one of the new XBMC skins on a dirt ass old version and need to change the .ini settings, or just totally nuke the XBMC install. i know the swanky one that looks like a 360 dash required a certain build or above of XBMC to work.

I loaded a saved profile that I didn't have the skin for anymore. kaboom!

Yeah I always got mine from Xbins - but without IRC you're screwed on that. What's the deal with megaupload?

If its smaller that 500mb you can megaupload that joint. If not its cool. I just have to wait 3 hours between downloads so I'll be up and running by tomorrow.

Melf: From the EvoX menu, if you select the "change date and time settings in Xbox Dashboard" or something like that it kicks you do the regular dashboard, and you can delete/add soundtracks from there just like a vanilla Xbox.

Have there been any really good updates over the last year or so?

I haven't touched my Xbox in a long time and I'd probably be down to do some tinkering if there's good updates out there.

i don't know about "really good" but it seems every time i go to xbox scene (one a week) there's a new build.

So, I've got XBMC set as my dashboard - is there any way to get it to boot to the regular old Xbox dash so I can set it to HD resolution?

Use the filebrowser to go to your C drive and boot it from there.

never set mine up before and decided to try xbmc out as a media server front end and stream iso files from a nas, but i need some assistance :noob: . still using the original drive and no chip, so softmod looks like the way to go.

have splinter cel, ndure loader, latest xbmc t3ch load, and know how to get it setup from there, but dont have an action replay.

does the slayers disk bypass the need for an action replay?
if not is there another way to do it without an AR? they are practically extinct in these parts. :cry:

the slayers disc wont even boot unless the system is modded.

All I ask from you is that you send it back to me promptly (I mean c'mon, it doesn't take long to copy some files from a memory card to your hard drive). Just make sure you have your gamertag setup on your Xbox already beforehand if you still want to play on Live. I made that mistake once and got banned and had to trade my Xbox with a friend. :lol:

Anyone have XMugen Linux working on their haXbox? Is it compatible with XBMC? I can't seem to get it to work even though I can get the linux loader thing to run. Also, I have a 1.6 Xbox.
