My Father-in-Law Is Stupid

You know it is one thing to have stupid friends/siblings/co-workers, it is another thing when people you supposed to respect/look up to are dumber than dog shit.

My FIL got a divorce about 4 years ago, he was devastated (at 55) since he is about as mature as a 15 year old when it comes to emotional matters. In any case, he met a 36 year old chinese woman who is visiting USA and "looking for a mate" (i.e. someone dumb enough to marry her so she can get naturalized). She was pretty much unsuccessful until she met my FIL. Of course, he is a fucking idiot to not wait and see what her intentions are (my FIL had a pretty successful business and a nice big house, of course he loves to brag about it constantly).

Anyway, so she moved in 6 months afterwards and got married as soon as legally possible. Since then, she tried relentlessly to have a baby. And yesterday, we found out that she is pregnant. My FIL will turn 59 tomorrow, he constantly complains that he did not save up enough money to retire (the divorce hurt him financially, but not as bad as it could have been). Plus, his wife is a princess. She does not work, she basically goes out everyday with her friends while my FIL slaves away at his business. Of course, he complains all the time how business is not doing as well as before and he hates his job (tailor).

He always complain and tell us how much he wants to retire, how the fuck is he going to retire with a kid at 59??? WTF? My wife is devastated, she doesn't know what to think about this. She can't believe this is happening to her life, that she will have a half-sibling at age 30. The problem is that his wife is a fucking lazy bitch who complains about everything, and she doesn't do anything in the house. Laundry? No. Cooking? No. Cleaning? You kidding? She literally plays some online games when she is home (or watch TV), and spend most of the day out. She is as far from a mother as she will get, which means my FIL will have to take care of her, the new born, and a full time job that he hates for another 21 years.

I lol when I heard the news. It is so fucked up. I just feel so bad for my wife and my sister in law. Sigh.

Damn, he got suckered. Be prepared to have him at your doorstep asking for a handout whenever possible.

He can always pack up and run to whatever country he's from and avoid the bitch completely. It's the man's way out, imo.

Man talk about a lack of foresight, that whole situation completely sucks. The only thing I can see fixing the problem is an abortion and divorce. How sad to make such a huge mistake at an old age, especially one that affects other people (you and your wife).

Good luck, kof. I hope you don't get suckered into caring for the kid if the father-in-law can't handle it. Family drama sucks.

KoF you could probably sell the kid back to the woman's home country for 80k or so.

This is the worst post I've read on TNL in quite a while, and that's always a powerful statement.

This is a pretty bad situation that your numbskull FIL got himself into, but it's nothing that a gentle shove at a top of a staircase couldn't fix.
