Sorry I didn't look at the gun so closely, I looked at the result. -and I'm really not really faulting the movie for it, since all entertainment seems to accept the made-up physics. Even if it was supposed to be explosive, I know some of you have been watching that Deadliest Warrior show, and when they detonate an explosive in middle of 3 suspended pig cadavers, it's not like they all go flying back...they shudder from the concussive force and get torn up. I think people are smart enough to realize the impact and damage a weapon can cause without having characters fly back comically AND
...What are you talking about, Dol? I'd consider both of Arnold's T800s, the T1000, and the T3chick to be interesting characters. They had "learning chips", made decisions, came up with strategies...the way they think and pursue the objectives is pretty crucial to the way the films play out. The various Terminators in TTSCC carry out complex schemes, interact with and employ humans, and get all crazy philosophical (in a robot way)...sure, Skynet has its fodder, but I can't believe you wouldn't be disappointed if among its entire force, there weren't some interesting elite units or players/motivators. Consider also that all aspects of Skynet, while homogenous, may not conclude the same strategies and goals are optimal and thus come into conflict with each other.Quote:
I'm all for some retarded hi-tech round with compressed plasma molecules or WTF but I at least want it explained.
I'm glad Marcus a central protagonist, though. I think it has promise.
Glad to hear that the ending (or rumored ending at least) was changed. That would have been pretty damn strange.
Click if you have no idea what I'm talking about
I still don't see how the Terminator flew back in a comical way. If anything it mostly shrugged it off like "bitch, I'm still coming."
I always figured John must die in the future before his time but they pull a Wizard of Oz type move. They always talk about how nobody had seem him for so long and he couldn't trust anybody but was still running the show. John being dead would cripple the resistence, but the idea that he's still alive keeps them fighting
His Batman voice is....well, his voice, pretty much, lol. He always has that calm voice in every movie he is in. He did push it a lot more in Batman, though.....that voice killed the Batman persona. It was so forced.
Movie looks pretty cool, though. Can't wait to see it and I hope it doesn't suck like T3 did.
Arnold's T-800's are cool, of course. The T-1000 was only cool in the sense that it had great powers/abilities...it had next to no personality at all. However, my friends and I still quote "The Galleria...?" line from T2 all the time, so the T-1000 does have its high points.
But as for the TX (or anything in T3) being interesting...um, no. "I like your car! I like your gun!" She was a fucking retard.
She really was stupid. That whole movie can get lost.
T-1000 is worth it for the finger wag. And that crazy run.
