I think it is a DAMN shame, and for the sake of staying on-topic I won't get into it here, but I did here: http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/s...&threadid=4530Quote:

Hey, BTW Korly, how do you feel about DDP (you know, the dude in your avatar) having to retire?
OOOH, that's gotta hurt.Quote:

Which babbage absorbed more impact - the right babbage or the left babbage? ;)
I look at the miniscule Dreamcast section and cry.
I pretty much only go in there to look at what used PC, PS, And DC games they have that are cheap. I sometimes look at the magazine rack, but the freakin game stores seem to be the LAST ones to get the new mags in. I also hide the majority of the 3do, acclaim, and titus games so that no one will ever be blinded by the pain they try to inflict on mankind. Oh, and I'm also the guy that stays in there and actually gives the customers GOOD advice, as opposed to the half assed advice most of the drones that work in the game stores give. I've applied numerous times, but they seem to only want the morons that go with popular opinion instead of people that legitimately know what they're talking about. I've earned a reputation in my local EB, and the employees look at me like its a Mexican stand-off.Good
Er, the Dungeon Seige standee got most of the impact.Quote:

Since there's only 5 stores in whole mall that I actually like, I'm in and out of Software Etc. at least 4 or 5 times. The employees think I'm weird. While I'm in there, I keep to myself, don't bother asking questions, and just look around for cool DC and PSX games.
I spend alot of time looking at the same shit over and over, and usually just buy one or two items.
How do those places stay in business? Every time I pass EB in the mall everyone is at a kiosk. Games are cheaper, and actually new, at Superstore and it's ilk.
Well if it's a commercial chain store like Babbages or EB I try to go in and do everything(Find the game or do a quick skim to see if anything is new or lower in price) as quick as possible and then get out. The vibe and atmosphere in those places just depresses me so I can never stay long.
If it's one of those smaller game stores, usually import stores, I'll take my time looking and perhaps talk to the employees(Usually very cool people) and whatnot.
Yeah I do that frequently. Also enjoy going to the Gameboy section and looking at copies of Elmo ABC and Powerpuff Girls. Then when the clerk ask me if I need help I stare at them and say nothing til they step away. Good times. *-neoQuote:
