IGN's Top 100 Games

It's long been known that IGN has no editors that know anything about the English language.

That reeks of Bozon. He's illiterate even by IGN standards.

If they can't even correctly communicate in English what they think of a game, why would any of you expect them to justify its position on the list?

I won't even bother commenting on how they chose what went where.

Whining about a game's placement on one of these lists is stupid because nobody can ever adequately arrange the 100 best games into an order. It's just a ridiculous task.

Granted, that makes the people who make these lists dumb as well, but at least we know they do it for visitors and subsequent ad revenue. They've got an excuse for doing something dumb.

If the list is for the best games ever, then I fully agree. However, if it was a list of most important games, I think the earlier games should be included. IGN's list uses a nebulous combination of quality, influence, and innovation for the criteria, making it incredibly arbitrary. This also gives the retards compiling the list a nice cop-out for why game X was not included. I guarantee that Below The Root will get ignored again despite being the first parser-free adventure game, and Zork will get listed despite its many serious flaws that later games like A Mind Forever Voyaging rectify.

A perfect example of why this list is stupid. It's a very IMPORTANT game but it doesn't hold up well compared to much later survival horror games like Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil 4. And on a side note, I'll bet that this is the only game by Frédérick Raynal that will make the list, despite the absolute awesomeness of the two Little Big Adventure titles.

The Little Big Adventure games were incredible.

Not nearly enough people played them.
