Oh there are lots of games that people agree are great, and I think generally people will agree that games on the IGN Top 100 list are worthy games, but people will always argue that other games are more deserving and that the order is retarded.

Someone that's better with Excel should set up a file that everyone can input their personal top 50 or whatever, award a point value to individual rankings and give bonus points for games that show up on multiple lists, then combine 'em and see what happens.

I don't notice shit like this during baseball season.

To really match the IGN list, though, it would have to be much longer and thus encompass all generations. Which would be a shitload more amount of work.

Here's the thing.

These lists especially this one, never seem to differentiate between "Influential" and "Fun" therefore are completely inaccurate and full of shit.

I'll give some thought to how to expand the scope without creating a full-time job. The one Mech linked I did manually by inputting TNL posts into Excel and then letting it summarize the data for me. I'm afraid that if we give people spreadsheets, it will limit the participation and skew the results.

Final Fantasy II doesn't even belong on a cell phone.
