Rainbow Six: Vegas is probably my favorite Tom Clancy game, so I'm excited about this sequel, which is coming to the 360. PS3, PC, and Wii lol.

If Vegas 2 is even just more of the same, I'll still buy it day one.
This is great news, as I also thoroughly enjoyed this Clancy game. Two requests for this release; camera support for my return starring role in multiplayer and no Mexican adversaries plz.

no Mexican adversaries plz.
The only thing I disliked about the game was cutting out the story in co-op. Those helicopter rides were tedious, and there's a lack of weight to the action without being told your objectives.
I enjoyed Vegas 07, but I think I'll stick it out for RSV 2009.
Awesome news. R6V is definitely an incredible game that deserves a sequel.
LOL. If I was racist I would want to kill the Mexicans again! It just seems like the last few Tom Clancy games have been focused too much on the Mexican border.
On another note, were you at Circuit City yesterday morning? I thought I saw you but there was no way in hell I was getting out of line.
Sounds cool. I still need to play part 1, but then again I need a 360.
RSV2: Bellagio.
Indeed I was, buying last action hero and smoking aces.Quote:

I was such a riot shield whore in the original. I kind of wish they'd choose a different city this time, though (well it's not like the entire game took place in Vegas, but still). I absolutely loved the multiplayer co-op in the first -- it's actually why I bought the game in the first place.
Day 1
I got new OXM. Vegas 2 cover story. Sounds awesome and it comes out in MARCH!!!
Co-op splitscreen and on LIVE! Co-op is full single player story mode like Gears and people can drop in and out whenever.
P.E.C mode returns. You level your character up in single player now too. So if you play single player first, you'll have more stuff for when you go online.
You can now sprint.
Has bullet penetration.
Multiplayer graphics no longer look like ass.
Game sounds like Cod4 meets Vegas with the way you can level up online.
Basically it sounds really great, and its all the improvements I wanted to see from the first Vegas.
That is some great news, I was expecting a summer release at the earliest.
Holy shit, I will SO be on this day 1. I loved the first, and the online co-op was the best part of it, imo. This is going to rock.
Is anyone else buying the non-retard version?
Yeah, we're all going to get it for the 360.
That beats the Wii I guess.
Excellent. Co-op is saved.
We need another 360 exclusive to come out. Gears 2 would do it.
All the love for Vegas 1, but I was the only person that would play it after Gears came out. :( At least Gears 2 wont be killing this game online!
Also, I think its 4 player co-op!
Radar and a lot of explosive weapons hurt pretty much all shooters online.
Rainbow Six 3 is the only game that didnt totally fuck that up.

trailer
reveals nothing though
Who's developing this game? I assume it's not the same team that did Vegas 1 considering that Vegas 2 is coming out just a year later. I hope it's not like the Call of Duty - Infinity Ward/Treyarch situation where the only good version of the game is made by the original developer.

Ubisoft released the first details of the highly anticipated sequel to their smash hit Rainbow Six Vegas today, along with a couple more screenshots (which can be seen above). Looks like their strategy is along the lines of ‘more of the same’ with some added improvements – which is no problem considering the high quality of the original title. Here’s a round up of new features taken from the official press release.
Rainbow Six
• More Multiplayer - The highly acclaimed multiplayer mode in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas has been upgraded to include 13 new maps with more intense face-offs, two new adversarial modes, more rewards, and easier access to matches using the improved and intuitive matchmaking system.
• Unprecedented Customizable Experience - Create your own identity that persists through both the single player and multiplayer modes and progresses along with you. Reap the benefits of your single player rewards in multiplayer and vice versa.
• Vastly Improved Co-op Mode - Turn single player mode into co-op mode at any time, just by jumping into the game. Now you and a friend can jump into a single player game and assist without any change to the story. The single player maps and storyline were created with co-op in mind, meaning every map has multiple entry points and the story is unaffected.
• Challenging AI - The AI is more challenging than ever. Now, the terrorists are equipped with thermal vision, night vision, and shields - not to mention a multitude of varying tactics - all of which are guaranteed to give you a new playing experience every time you go into battle. As you progress within the game, you’ll be able to outsmart your enemies by taking advantage of intelligence opportunities, such as thermal scanning.
• New Weapons and Armour - Take down the terrorists more effectively using 11 new weapons. New camouflage, clothing and gear allow for the ultimate customisations.
• More Vegas - Sin City is back and bigger than before. Explore all new Vegas hot spots and the gritty back streets creating a visual experience that is as challenging as it is breathtaking.
I'm so hard for this game.
So is this really coming out tomorrow? I'm willing to cut... I mean, miss class with a personal emergency for this baby, so I needs to know!
Gamestop says March 18th. No personal emergency day for you. :p
I can't fucking wait for co-op in this game. It was amazing in Rainbow Six 3, it was amazing in Vegas, and it's going to be amazing in Vegas 2.
Finally a game to play instead of Cod4. hooray!
Face-mapping was easily the best feature from the last Rainbow Six.
I hope the technology is a little better this time, though.
I really want to get into this and have high expectations, but I skipped on the first one because the demo gave me motion sickness. Hopefully it's just like COD4 where only the single player does that, and I can play multi fine.
Stop being Asian. Suck it up, get sick and kill ppl.
Has anyone seen any pre-order incentives for this game? I am definitely picking it up day 1 just seeing if there is any worthwhile goodies for throwing down early. Anyone else getting it on the eleventh for 360?
I am tempted but my finance is kinda tight right now.
Oh snaps, it is coming out on the 18th. It said the 11th when I checked wikipedia last week. So who's grabbing it on the 18th then, huh huh?
My wife would kill me if I have a fiance on the side that's tight.
I read it that way too
:(
I wished that he said fiance so hard that I actually tricked my mind into believing he did.
I blame Praxis.
So I downloaded the dev trailer from Live, and it all but assured that this will be a day one purchase for me. It basically looks like more of the same, but that's great, since the original was awesome. Leveling up in single player is very welcome, and the expanded customization and new equipment are enough to keep me glued to this for months.
I just hope Ubi Soft doesn't go and make the DL free again after I buy it. :(
Hay TNL, buy this for 360 and play terrorist hunts with me.
Fail.
Day 1 for me also.
I really enjoyed coop with TNL and storymode with friends in the last one. Will they let you import the old facemap? Pirate Chux was totally funny/retarded.
Still no custom soundtracks or cross-game messaging/invites. Still waiting for Home!
The ultimate lose is having to beg people to play with you on your "optimal" platform.
I will also accept hugs and pies.
But not Gears invites?
I could go the rest of my life without playing that game again, and the only reason I haven't sold it is because it was my first shooter. I'll probably be back for Gears 2 though. :p
Awwww, how cute. You are keeping a game you don't like just b/c it is the first. So Gears took your shooter virginity, no wonder you are so BITTER. :p
It seemed like such a nice game at first, but it turned out to be just another asshole. SIGH I'm going to be alone my whole life...
Don't fret, COD4 is as slutty as ever.
POLICIA
A RED HERRING APPROACHES!
Yoshi uses PS3 BIAS, It's Super Effective!
He's talking about PC noobs, he's having a holiday in the sun with Dyne
Gah... that made me have a shiver of fright.
In all seriousness, if Windows Live wasn't completely worthless and unsupported, we wouldn't have to have these discussions.
It's true. Cross platform play Windows/360 and I'd be on Windows 9 times out of 10. As is, I just go with the community.
I honestly had no idea this is coming out for PC. I see this as a console series ever since (the mindfuckingly awesome) Rainbow Six 3 was released.
And yeah, I'd also go PC if this was cross-platform.
I don't understand the "going with the community." You guys have a choice in creating the community. There have been several TNLers on Quake Wars multiple times. This wouldn't be any different. It certainly makes more sense than paying more for less options and worse controls.
No one cares that you don't understand.
It's not that they don't care. They just can't hear him through their Live headsets.
No, it is that they don't care. But it's also that they can't hear them through their Live headsets.
I'm playing games with people from TNL, regularly. That's who I am.
Hmm, play games with douchey Brand or grumpy Yoshi? Tough choice.
