Started up Atlanta this weekend. That Donglover sure has come a long way from that Spelling Bee sketch.
I do wonder how someone can have the brains to understand things like racism, oppression, social justice ect but not the brain power to understand nuance.
How can people have such strong emotional responses while being completely lacking in emotional intelligence?
I think a lot of it is wanting to be a good opinion-haver and interpretation-doer + interpretation being very easy when you place "Hey, that's not what a bad character should do" at the end of it rather than the beginning.
There's a desire to distance yourself from the Bad Person on the Tee Vee, too.

Three Billboards was really great.
Also finished Ozark season 2. Liked this show a lot. I thought the ending was a little blah though. The two more interesting characters getting killed off was a bit of a bummer.

I thought Ozarks season 2 was a bit of a mess compared to season 1. A lot of convenient fixes to left-field problems that felt manufactured for the Byrd's. I wish more of their problems came from their actions (mob getting involved really seemed random considering the casino was on a boat).
