Let's see:
Close Encounters - This is still amazingly well-done 30 years later. The wife got me the three-version set, and it's pretty kick-ass. The timeline with all the changes is a nice feature.
The Brave One - I really enjoyed this, despite it being dark and somber throughout. Sort of like Falling Down, but a lot heavier and deeper. Jodie Foster and Terence Howard did a great job, but Neil Jordan's camerawork was a bit heavy-handed. Nice score, too.
Starman - Jeff Bridges gives one of the greatest sci-fi performances ever.
Waiting - I'm glad I never worked in a restaurant. I will never piss off my server, either. LOL @ The Goat.
RE: Extinction - I don't understand my fascination with Milla Jovovich. She can't act or do stunts, and I don't find her that attractive. I guess I just like watching her kick ass or something. Best of the three RE films, which isn't saying much.
Failure to Launch - Watched with the wife. As I've said elsewhere, Zooey Deschanel is hot. Sarah Jessica Parker is absolutely NOT.
-
RE3 was horrible. HOOOOOORIBLE :p
Starman is a great movie though. Need to pick up dvd one of thise days for my Carpenters collection.
-
Iron Eagle. I havent seen this since I was a kid. LOL @ most of the story but still good 80s shit for some reason.
-
They've been running ads on AMC for that CONSTANTLY. How was Sniper?
We watched Enter the Dragon the other night. Good stuff.
-
Sniper? With Tom Berenger? Its actually alright. The sequels on the other hand.....
-
I watched Close Encounters a couple of months back. Such a great movie.
-
I watched 28 weeks later tonight, I really liked it a lot. I thought the Army aspect was very well done. I wouldn't mind if they made a 28 months later.
-
28 Weeks was cool, except for the stupid infected dad.
-
I didn't have too much of a problem with him, the ending was nifty imo.
-
War- Ok movie. Nothing special but it had some decent action and I thought all the acting was well done. I had read a review that the movie was so-so but had a twist that made it worth the watch. I didn't feel that the twist was good, but what they could have done something better with it at the end.
Shoot'em Up- Completely mindless and over the top, but I'll be damned if I wasn't entertained the entire time. Plot is a bit wacky, but the action and the way it was done made the movie awesome.
