The ending of The Mist made that movie awesome.
The Big Sleep: The only Bogart flick I'd seen before was African Queen and this kicks the shit outta that. In fact it has some of the better dialog I've ever witnessed.
Two Lane Blacktop: An old fave. A friend paid the $300 deposit on the VHS to Scarecrow video a few years ago and we watched it like ten times. So glad it's out on DVD and even more glad that my little brother ripped his and gave me a copy for free.
The King of Comedy: Again for awesomeness.
No Country for Old Men.
Don't know what to think b/c it was NOT what I was expecting. I'm thinking another viewing is in order.
Becoming Jane. Terrible, awful excuse for a movie imo. The ONLY reason I watched it was because James McAvoy was in it and even he couldn't save it from it's epic sucking.
The Big Sleep is fucking rad awesome. The book is pretty good too, and the plot makes more sense and it's more overtly sexual. William Faulkner adapted Chandler's book for the screen. So yeah, it sort of went from a good writer, to what a lot of people think of as the best American novelist, to a great cast and crew.
The Big Sleep rules.
Great book confirmed. I'm still needing to pick up a copy of the movie.
I Am Legend.
Very entertaining movie. Though I really wish they had gone with real special effects and make up for the vampires instead of CG. It was embarrassingly bad, especially in comparison to the rest of the movie which looked really good. I got the 2 disc set with the extended and alternate version so I'll definitely give that a watch to see what the differences are.
