Ok to move from one oddity to another, i just finished "Adaptation," and if im being taught correctly, i would consider this film the manifistation of post modern hypperreal work.

I've been sick as a dog so I've just been stuck in bed watching Battle star galactica. I'm to the part where they find the pegasis(sp?) and I think the it just keeps getting better. How far am I second season? Is the third where they go back to caprica and deal with the cylons? I saw bits and pieces of that and it seemed really good.
A movie was on tv last night... Invisible? I think thats what it was called. Where the kid gets beat up and everybody thinks hes dead and his spirit walks around and tries to get someone to find his body and save him because hes not really dead.
Geez... What an awful movie. Terrible acting, really bad script, unbelievable coincidences... So bad.
I watched Jackie Chan in Drunken Master the other day, was a good kung fu movie.
Also been watching seasons 1 and 2 of News Radio, good show.
I just watched "The Usual Suspects" again yesterday.
Very much into the Wire. About to wrap up the second season once Disc 5 gets here from Netflix.
I loved the first season. It was gritty and didn't always focus on the protagonist. The antagonists were made to be human and that's something I find in alot of HBO shows. Barksdales have their fucked up lives, kind of like the Rockefellars of heroin. The protagonists also had just as much to lose by solving the case as the antagonists did.
The second season is alright but I've watched up to episode ten and nothing big has happened yet except for Ziggy killing one of the Greek guys and the death of D'whatever. It's slower than what I like. I hope the last episode really pulls something big out of its hat because so far the second season is weak. I have season three at my g/f's pad ready to be viewed so I'll start that by this weekend.
I watched Robot Jox and it was actually not that bad. It's like a low budget American live-action Evangelion. The model work wasn't half bad and it had some pretty LOL moments. Main guy and small black chick are having a fist fight and she starts a roundhouse kick, turns into a tall white guy to deliver it, then finishes the kick as a chick again. It was so obvious. Also this exchange between the villain and the good guy:
Achilles: You can live.
Alexander: Yes, if I kill you with this!
Achilles: We can both live!
Alexander: We are already dead. We are Robot Jox!
Then they decide not to fight and give each other thumbs up. The end. Awesome.
