One man has a demonic case of deja-vu.
Interesting mix of Groundhog Day, Matrix, Jacobs Ladder with dose of Dark City and Blade mixed in. Stylishly shot with some neat sfx and intriguing story (at least 3/4 of the story), which becomes something else at the end, which not a bad thing.
King of New York. I forgot how fucking awesome this movie is. I'm going to watch it again tonight.

I just got back from watching the very awesome Planet B-Boy at Landmark. It's interesting to see how much breakdancing has evolved and spread around the globe. Worth watching if you're into hip-hop culture or not.

Robot Wars is the psuedo-sequel. There is a third 'Robot' title based in miniture and stop animation from back in the day, but I can't remember the name of it.Quote:

I liked KoNY but admit it wasn't a great film. Obviously guys like B.I.G. who loved it helped the movie gained its cult following. I like Ferrara's other films a bit more, like Bad Lieutenant or even Ms. 45.
I just saw Eyes Wide Shut again, this time on Blu-ray and I still don't understand all the hate this movie gets. I think it is fantastic, very surreal, fluorescently coloful, eerie, sexy, well-acted, well-directed, with relatable plot undertones (fidelity). This has to be up there with Barry Lyndon for Kubrick's most underappreciated films.
