I just read through Mark Ryan's Forza 2 guide and it was really helpful and well-written. I'm not sure if you're just busting balls but he's probably IGN's best staff writer. Focus your bile at Mark Bozon (the worst writer in the industry).

After watching Gerstmann's video review of the game I have to wonder if he wanted to get fired. He had to know Eidos was pimping the game hard on GameSpot and from the very beginning of that review it's like he has an axe to grind. The review is really harsh (far harsher than the game deserves) and comes off as a commercial against buying it. I'd say the game is a solid 7 and based on that video review I'd assume he was giving it a 4.

Exactly. The review was extremely unprofessional, akin to an anchorman showing up drunk and then going on the air.

I appreciate the dramatics of the "fired because of the sponsor" narritive, but seriously, come on.
