There's no such thing is impartial. Though Al-Jazeera has some damn good reporters, especially when it goes into countries like Saudi Arabia or Syria and does things like REPORT THE NEWS at all in gov'ts that have been know to be a bit more than "heavy handed."
But yes, AJ does have alot of cunts too. NPR has Juan Williams and Sanjay Gupta.
WSJ pre-fox, minus the op-ed was amazing.
I find the WSJ a bit too hard for me to read. I read it maybe once a month but never any more because I have my plate full with my local newspaper and BBC from time to time as well.
And I'm a fan of any op-ed so long as it's written coherently. My local paper's op-ed is pretty much burning whatever New Jersey politician is cool to hate on.
Eidos should have submitted the Kane & Lynch contest ladies for review instead of the game. They're definitely not a 6.
If they were all the game consisted of, it would've gotten a 10.
I would like to kane and lynch them.
Butter is damn tasty, so I've got no problem with that.
James
There are some definite 6's in there.
One thing I'll say about Gamespot as it looks right now- it's the best design they've had in years with not an ad to be found. Now all they need to do is work on that little issue of trust and they're back in business.
James
They're all fucking dog-cunt ugly.
The first and the second girl are alright.
I thought this was funny.
And here's a link to the actual page. Really funny when you see the common tags in larger font, but somehow "cake" got in there as well. Nice job, readers.
This week's HotSpot sees a few of the editors talk about all this. They seem kinda genuine.
Rampant fronting alert!
There's a lot of spin on that.
But listening between the lines it sounds like it's everything we heard about him getting fired over pissing off advertisers is all true.
yeah, by genuine I meant they're upset and angry about his firing. I still 100% believe this is about teh dollarz.
That piece is excellent and quite well written. It lays bare exactly what the problem is.
I think this gamespot thing will end well in the long run.
Gerts Man can has blog nao?
(There's a disappointing but understandable lack of tearing Gamespot a new one; honestly it's pretty boring atm, but I thought some here might like to know.)
I've said it before and the article reinforces it: he who cites Gamerankings first loses.
The two sides of it are equally bad. It's awful that companies base pay structure among other things based on aggregators. It's just as bad that people who are on the Internet, and are thus able to do as much research as they want on any videogame they may want to purcahse, actually put so much stock in aggregators and the data which supports them.
Just came across this today. Gerstmann, Ryan Davis, and now Alex Navarro are doing a new podcast called Arrow Pointing Down.

I don't support the publication of the article completely. I mean, unnamed sources, ambiguous claims and no real, tangible proof has left the Times floating in the wind because of it. It's important to know who he's dealing with before and if he becomes president but damn did they drop the ball on how to approach an article.
the article is absolutely terrible, they should have dropped the story. another paper was writing a story about the times story, so the info about mccain would have gotten out anyway, without making the times look like a rag.
No, there are a lot of unanswered questions and a few outright lies McCain has been in caught in on the lobbyist side. What the NYT did wrong was lead with the sex angle when that was the weakest claim they had.
Which is what I'm saying...
replying here to stay on topic
CBS buying CNet
Wonder if this will mean a return to integrity for Gamespot.
Yeah, I know, not bloody likely.
I foresee a lot of 10/10 CSI games
edit: maybe nbc universal will buy ign lol 4th place
Newscorp (i.e. Fox) already did. :p
