30k is more than enough to live a good life.
Not in New York, noob.
I stand by my statement.
It's doable, but I would still live in Jersey. I could get by on 30k.
Well then what you expect out of life and what I do are two different levels. Fair enough guys, point taken.
It's good for now. I mean, how much worse can it get? 70k is enough to live in downtown Jersey City where New Yorkers are fucking flooding. Luxury apartments are $3k cheaper and are just as spacy. So $2,500 a month for a two-bedroom luxury apartment will go for $35k a year. Of course, that's with a spouse making the same (if not more, I am hypothetically speaking if my current girlfriend, who is becoming a nurse, and I live together) and 0-1 children.
To me, that's fine. Of course I'm tryingto aim higher, but one step at a time. I can't rush being an editor at GQ or a reporter for the New York Times.
Also, I'm making $35 an article right now. That shit isn't even enough to eat for a week. If it weren't such a shit job where my life is actually in danger, I'd take it.
Not really. Maybe if you don't mind being at the mercy of a failing medical system in the case of emergencies, missing out on a lot of nice luxuries in life such as really good food and comfortable, clean accommodations and, more importantly, don't ever want kids (which are expensive).
To be fair, I could make really good food, restaurant quality, and save on that. And I don't have to live anywhere near the big cities to find a nice, clean house or apartment. There are alternatives.
There is nothing Ramon can't do, jesus, I hope other people see that you front like nobody I have ever seen.
Here's a hint, actually do something, then front about it.
Let's see
A) You are a bad ass
B) You never masterbate
C) You can pick up any chick
D) You make restaurant quality food
etc
etc
LOL, maybe I'm the only one laughing, but you aren't 1/2 the man you say you are. I can't wait to meet you so I can see what you are really about. Oh yeah, I have got a spare guitar, let's see how you do.
I'm not trying to be a dick, but there is fronting, and then there is FRONTING.
How am I fronting? It's cooking, not building a bomb. You're telling me you've never cooked food that doesn't taste the same as restaurant food? I do that as dates. It's cheaper that way, especially since my wallet hasn't had a full belly in a long time.
Everything else you just have a problem with. I don't know why. Many people here actually know me personally. And I don't need the spare guitar, I can bring my own. =O Learn Metallica, Queen, Judas Priest, or AC/DC and we could rock.
What kind of drugs are you taking? I make less than that now and my life has all these things. It's called: not paying other people to do shit for you. Learn how to cook, learn how to build things, etc... And don't buy into the bullshit idea that "If I could just have a few more things my life would be perfect!" 30K a year is a fucking lot of money.
I think we've had this discussion before. i won
Are we still going back to the well for Robobo?
ok. money people you will not see the same things in life that non money people do and vice versa.
There. I saved us all from arguing.
I'm right.
I've had it both ways, and I'm pretty content living a modest life. I'm currently living well below my means in order to save money, and I just don't see myself ever going back to my old, expensive lifestyle.
Of course, unlike most people, I actually enjoy doing everyday chores and I get a lot of satisfaction and learn a lot of things by doing my own renovations and stuff.
If I wasn't into that, though, I wouldn't be able to stand living on a budget.
