drew is an idiot. he doesn't even know WHY we ever got into china in the first place. Originally Asian products were complete shit back in the 60s and 70s. American companies went into these asian countries and set up factories and taught them how to build things. The people who ran these factories left and started their own companies. An example is how Fender went into japan. In 1980s, over 80% of fenders guitars were made in japan by factories that US fender set up. Those same japanese people went on to become Yamaha and Ibanez.

Drew talks like we have magical little capitalist coming out of each country, and each makes his own little product and they compete and chinas is ust magically cheaper. Which is total bullshit. The US went into these countries and made them what they are now. China would not be what is now if we would have left them alone.
