Extended Ed of LOTR is 12 hours long, not including the scenes they still left cut from the movies. If they had thought about it at the time, they could have made more than three movies pretty easily.Quote:

Less then a month away! This movie qualifys to been seen at IPic. If you live near an IPic and want to enjoy a movie in a more relaxed and comfortable situation, then I would suggest going to IPic.
I don't know what a IPic is.

AICN reviewed it. According to the review, The Hobbit has its good points, but roughly half of its running time is bloated with pure filler in an attempt to stretch out a rather short and simple book into three unneeded movies when one would have been ideal. Worse, the reviewer said there isn't nearly enough of the book left to carry two more whole movies, so it stands to reason that the sequels will blow.
Sounds pretty much how I expected it to be when they announced it as a trilogy. Pass.
