You are such a noob. :D I think it took me a month to finish it (most of the time is mapping out those dungeons). I was so pumped when I dug up that badass sword in the end. Dark Falz is still the best "fake" death sequence ever. I must have reloaded a dozen of times to try to beat him before I gave up.

Someone needs to get the licenses for the Remakes from whatever that horrible company is, and release them on XBLA or the Playstation Network. I would drop $15 for those remakes.

We were all noobs once, even in 88. I had never played an RPG before, and I had no clue what I was doing. I was 10 years old (I thought I was 11 before, but actually, it came out in the US christmas of 88, so I had just turned 10 when I bought it). Funny enough, thinking that way, I got the game 19 years ago, this coming Weds.

What do you mean, fake death sequence? Or do you mean the fake out ending when you beat Lassic, go to the governor of motavia and then fall in the pit? Then have to fight dark falz.

I was kinda "eh" on PSII, but that probably had to do with the fact that the hint book killed the whole game, and I didnt have as intense of a experience with it.

I actually really liked PS3 because I had no expectations and could enjoy it as its own entity.

PS4 I loved, because it had so many references to the previous games, and the translation was taken seriously for once and made sense. When Chaz has the flash to the heroes from previous games when he takes the sword.

I would love for them to release the remakes of the whole series if only for a consistent translation between them all.

Yup, that's the fake death/dream sequence. PS was my first RPG too, Dragon Warrior kinda blows afterwards.

Don't forget the credits sequence. Admit it, you thought there was another dungeon, if only for a second, and you yelled at your TV as loudly as I did.
