I don't really understand what difference that would make, other than making you feel better in some nebulous way. When has "I shot a cop in self defense" ever actually panned out?
Edit: That's not to say I don't agree that cops are often douchebags, you just tend to bring up gun control whenever the police are discussed, like it's common sense that they should be threatened or shot when they abuse their authority.
