Now I'm in sure some of these cases, the little guy wins. But not often, and the gains from fucking with the system almost always outweigh the punishment you get for fucking with it. There are some legit foreclosures out there, but there is A LOT more fucked up shit going on behind the scenes than you might think.

edit: What is the motivation for the lender? Is it to collect on a government guarantee?

I was, I just started working at Moody's 2 weeks ago.

We were under a government committee to compile information on the bank foreclosures to determine possible illegal foreclosures and common failures from the bank. I imagine that massive chase fine had something to do with that information, but I was out before it got there.

I don't want to live in a world where a corporation can pull SIXTEEN BILLION DOLLARS and its employees can't afford Thanksgiving.

Walmart could give every single worker a $5k Thanksgiving bonus and still clear seven billion dollars this year.

I went back to my desk to make sure I picked up my laptop before grabbing lunch from the salad bar. My Co-worker said "What, you were afraid someone was going to steal it?"
