Cheapest I can find one for is $30ish. Any cheaper suggestions?
Most of the good fighting game stuff is wired because wireless is annoying garbage when you're running a tournament and people keep switching in their own sticks.
Heres another. I dont fight too many Fei Long players, so I kept falling for stupid shit
I think there might also be something like 1 frame of input lag added to wireless sticks. Might not seem like a big deal, but it means switching from stick to stick gives you different timing for reversals and such. I mean, the usual idea is if people are willing to pay money for a good stick, which is kinda niche, they don't want added input lag. There is a further niche market for people who like decent sticks with no wires I guess, but maybe it just isn't big enough for a decent stick? It used to be you HAD to mod a stick to get a decent one.
Input lag is a non-issue for most modern wireless controllers. There have been benchmarks for Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 and Wireless 360 controllers proving this.
I haven't even touched the PS3 version of Super online, but I see Internets (aka Do You Like Erotic) playing it on PSN a lot when I am on the PS3. Try adding him? When do you guys play? Maybe I'll hop on the PS3 version for once. I play on 360 cause that's where my friends are playing (and XBL > PSN).
This one seems good:

Yeah but DYLE is black so fuck him.
Well I mean, there are different price point products for different types of people. I spent years playing guilty gear in tournament with one of the shittiest sticks out there, and I was very well known for having some of the best execution in the country. That being said, I am old now and don't want to put the work in to make a shitty stick work, I would rather a nice stick where everything is super easy to do. Luckily SSF4 does half the work for me.
All in all, even the really shitty japanese styles sticks are better than a pad for me.
