I honestly feel sick to my stomach. Really. After all the shit this franchise went through this year, after finally bonding as a team, making strides on offense and defense, making the playoffs 2 out of the past 3 years - this happens? We were a couple moves away from being a legitimate contender.
Stupid. That's the only word to describe the decision for firing Gregg Williams, a defensive coordinator who has the respect of his players and led his defensive unit to the Top 10 in the NFL 3 out of his four years. I know other teams would have interest in him, but if I were Snyder, I would have thrown some money at him to keep him in DC.
Add to that, the sheer reluctance for me to believe that Snyder and Cerrato didn't see an offensive system that was moving in the right diretion. Saunders needed about one more year to get Campbell up to speed. This team was finally coming together and the VC/DS combo, in their infinite football wisdom, decided to shake things up a bit.
At the end of the day I don't have control over the situation, but as a fan, it makes me sick to know that your favorite team is run by some of the worst executives in the NFL.
Snyder and Cerrato need to stop smoking that crack from SE DC.
