Dan Marino played for 17 years starting his first year. Brett Favre has played for 17 years sitting on the bench in Atlanta his first year.

I mean c'mon people. If you are trying to put Favre down, there is something really wrong with you. Like it or not, he will be remembered as one of the best football players of all time. Troy Aikman will be remembered as that broadcaster who likes 24 a lot.

Also, I think Favre and Elway are very similar in the way that their teams were not always that great, but they always made them competitive. If you compare their stats though, Favre destroys Elway. Elway played for 16 years and played 11 games in his rookie year.

As a fan of sports, whether I like the team or not I can appreciate greatness. Is he as efficient as Tom Brady, no. Tom Brady is like the T1000 and Favre is the T800. I am a much bigger fan of the T800.

I like Favre's hair better so he wins.

So you like guys who don't trust their teammates, try to do too much, and make stupid decisions? Favre is easily the most overrated guy in this conversation. stormy is 100% right about that. Favre has a ring solely because the Cowboys and 49ers got into cap trouble trying to out-do each other. No "best ever" QB is 0-9 in any stadium.

That game wasn't on Romo at all. He played the best out of all the Cowboy's. The defense failed them, and Owens and Crayton failed.

And the playcalling failed come the second half.

I would take Favre over Romo right now, much more 10 years ago. Like it or not, Favre on the Cowboys yesterday = Win by 20

What did Owens not do? He was wide open at least twice when the line didn't give Romo the time to get it to him?

No, the Dallas D lost the game, period. Romo however played very poorly for his lofty standards.

BTW, go back in this thread, I told Yoshi the dallas d would lose the game for them. Anthony Henry is LOL, we cut him in Cleveland for a reason.

There's no way 21 should have beat them. If Phillips' dumb ass didn't take the ball out of Barber's hands, the Giants' D would have been wiped out with 10 minutes left.

You're right, but he's better than Romo still, and that's my point. You're dealing with Brett Favre with LESS creativity and a fucking oddball release and 50 percent less arm strength, and you have him for 6 years.
